About

FBM / SBC

We are an independent and autonomous church in the Southern Baptist Convention that has served the Mitchell community since 1959.
- We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
- We believe divinely inspired men wrote the Holy Scriptures so that God's Word is without error.
- We believe that all mankind is lost and in need of help. We all need His grace and forgiveness.
- We believe that His eternal and complete grace and forgiveness is found at the cross, where Jesus willingly gave His life so we could live eternally with Him.
- Out of gratitude and great love for God, we all are called to a life of obedience and service.

Serve

What do we do?

God's Church is not just in Mitchell but across the world. We serve both locally and internationally through various ministries to not only help those in need physically with food, water, medicine, clothing, and more, but also to share about their need for Jesus Christ.

Giving

How is God calling you to steward?

Regular attendees of FB Mitchell give faithfully and generously, not to get anything from God but because they have already been given so much.
We do not believe in giving to pursuade God's opinion or approval. Rather, God loves a joyful giver who gives because of the great love He has for us and our desire to see His name, Word, and glory proclaimed.
You can give each week during service, and we are currently working on online giving options.

Staff

Pastor has

Pastor Richard Harmon has served FB Mitchell since 1985. He has seen many changes over the years, but has noticed one thing remains the same -- God's love for His people. Pastor Richard loves Bible passage questions and life application. He also enjoys mathematics, atmospheric development, and sudoku puzzles. Come around sometime to chat about life and baseball!

Associate Pastor Sean Templeton is devoted to missions and the local church. He enjoys spending time with his 3 young boys and his beautiful wife. When he has free time, he enjoys working with his hands, being out in nature, and a good movie. Do you like coffee? Let's get some together!
